Damned eternal recurrence

Feb 05, 2006 16:14

Of course, If I don't remember anything of my past life, I can't be haunted by any mistakes, which I would be doomed to repeat (mercifully, always as if for the first time). In fact, if I'm destined to repeat my life exactly the same, over-and-over, with no recollection, it really doesn't matter what I do since it will always, for all intents and purposes, by my first time. Ironically, this is the very belief that I criticize Nietzsche for, who tries to suggest that eternal recurrence should make one want to live a good life so that the endless un-remembered repetition will be pleasant (yet since it's not familiar, what does it matter?).
Sidenote: I really wish my RAM was in.

After you die...
Reincarnated as Yourself

After death, you will be reborn again as yourself. You will live the same life, unbeknownst to you. However, you will have vivid moments of déjà vu, as you probably have now.
