Happenings :)
Hey folks...it's time for another update in the life of one Mr. Pookie (I still can't believe that everyone calls me that!). Lots has happened since my last update. Life has continued on in the church family, despite the leaving of the two core families. It's taken some work and prayer on my part, but I'm now able to accept their going, and to forgive them for the hurt they've caused. The church is moving forward, and I'm now excited to see what's ahead for us. Dad is loving his new job as the part time pastor of Sackville Christian Fellowship. You can never leave your calling, cuz God will always call you back again :) I just hope they can find some way to support him full time. Youth group is still going full bore, with between 30 and 40 teens showing up every week, not including the other group we are running for the rougher kids. The planning and teambuilding for Tidal Impact this summer will be starting soon too, and that's gonna be awesome :) In some sadder news, Jen's aunt died really suddenly last Tuesday, and so Jen and I went up for the visitation and funeral on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. It was a rough time, and I was just glad to be there to be a comfort to everyone I could. We got back on Saturday, and then Ignition (the worship team that I'm the drummer for) led worship in church on Sunday. It was a rocking time, and it turns out that we're going on a roadtrip now! Apparently, Chris and Co. have been scheming for this for a bit. It looks like that Ignition will be the highlighting event at a big youth event in Miramichi at the end of April!!!! Woot, woot!! It's gonna be sooo awesome to be able to travel around a bit for this! Of course, that's right between the 30 Hour Famine and Spring Forth, but oh well :P It's gonna be a full spring!
