NoNo and I dry fit the first of three bookshelves together today and routed the edges. I got better as we went along, remembering how to best use the nosiest machine in the shop. There will have to be some touch-up sanding.

Once again I discovered the Xeno's Paradox of project timelines. We're always "almost done." Sitting eating after our workday we figured out two more steps that we had to do that hadn't been accounted for earlier. More days in the warehouse making wood do our bidding. Oh darn.

This bookcase project actually started last year around June. I was confident I could do it in a week with a router, a saber saw, two tables set on a flagstone patio, and heatstroke. After that initial week was up I put all the pieces away until Thaemos got a warehouse, which is the rightest thing to have happened to all my wood-workery dreams. Thanks for that Thaemos.

And so it's been easier but I can't understand what made me think this would be a week's worth of work. When it's all done, they will be awesome.
