Life begins anew...

Hi.

You couldn't have really upset the applecart any more than the past two weeks or so. Between moving out of Arlington "Action" Heights, moving out of my house in Springfield, moving out of the Elk Grove United WHQ... then moving into my new house in Hoffman Estates, and moving into the new headquarters in the Loop... life is a lot different than it was the last time I wrote here.

On the positive side, tonight is the first night I have had time to sit down and write. The house is nearly settled. It really looks great. Better than I thought it would even. Pictures will come soon, I absolutely promise. I found my camera today while unpacking one of the final boxes.

This is going to be a great place to live. The neighborhood is great. It's close to anything you'd ever want for amenities (Schaumburg/Woodfield Mall is about 15 mins drive), yet relatively secluded and away from the typical city setting. You can look up at night and see stars.

My parents were in over the weekend to help me get settled. They made a world of difference and the place looks completely different today than it did Friday night when they arrived.

Bonus feature of the weekend: My first Hoffman Estates "Claim Jumper" experience. Report: Just as good as the one in Reno. This has found its way into the rotation here.

Unfortunate circumstance of the weekend: Colleen was too sick to come up. :( Next weekend!

We have a celebration to take care of. House, my birthday, her new job in Roselle. How exciting. Sal & Carvao should be in order!

Life continues on. The last few weeks have been full of struggle and frustration at times, but I've made it through. I've found the commute downtown to be acceptable and tolerable. The building we're in is super. I can get used to all of this! :)

Apologies to all who have been slighted by me in the last few weeks. It's been one thing after another, but a routine is being established again. A little bit different from before, but that's not all bad. Hopefully you're all doing well.
