So... so... tired...
Sheer exhaustion has kept me from updating my lj lately. As you may recall from Rich's journal, I got a new job downtown. I spent last week training for it in addition to working six eight-and-a-half hour night shifts in the ER. I had to work New Year's Eve as well, which wasn't fun, altough it certainly proved to be a unique way to ring in the new year. Rich came to visit me and we had some sparkling cider with the nurses. It was kinda nice.
Now I am working full time at the corporate office of a parking company located in the John Hancock building. Yesterday was my first official day and, sadly, it was rather stressful because the girl who is training me called in sick and I was stuck on my own. It would not have been too bad, except that we had a total of eight new hires show up and I had to have them fill out applications, take tests, and basically handle all of their paperwork (of which there was a ton!). It was so crazy that I didn't realize until 4pm that I hadn't taken a lunch. At this point my supervisor suggested that I just leave an hour early (at 4:30) but there were still a few tests that I had to grade so I didn't get out until 5:05.
I sure hope today is a little less hectic.
