What a great day.
Today started off shittily and developed into something fantastic.
Got up around noon, found out that everyone in my hall had already eaten lunch so I went down to the cafeteria alone.
Tried to start on my creative writing homework (a 5ish-page short story of any sort, due Wednesday), but found myself absolutely uninspired.
Puttered around the dorm room feeling very cabin fever-stricken until dinner.
Went to dinner with (mostly) everyone from the hall, good times.
Came back upstairs, watched The Boondocks MLK Jr. episode, followed by "C.R.A.Z.Y.", which is a fantastic movie from Quebec.
Drew, inspired by the main character of the movie, asked Alia and Adrienne to cut his hair in the style in the movie. In my bedroom. This actually turned out fairly well.
Drew, now with a spiffy new hairstyle and make-up (also in the style of the character), wanted to hit the town to show off. This was around midnight. Adrienne commanded me to "coordinate," so I gave myself a makeover, kind of. I pulled all kinds of shit from my closet and put it together in such a way that I looked very different than I usually do, but actually quite snazzy. Adrienne, Drew, and William did the same.
We walked downtown (despite the late hour and the freezing rain) and went to the Fleetwood Diner. There we found Alex and her friend. I got coffee ("ruining" it with tons of sugar - black as sin, and just as sweet), O.J., and Hippie Hash (hash browns + green pepper + tomato + onion + mushroom + broccoli + feta cheese = fantastic). Drew rolled a cigarette - his first in weeks - and smoked it.
A good time was had by all.
