Thoughts...

I have a friend who recently broke up with her boyfriend. This wasn't some childish fling, oh no. They were together for a year and a half (no small feat in itself). And from all outward appearances, they really loved each other - as much as anyone our age that I've seen. He would send her flowers during school, or come and visit, for no reason at all but to make her happy. It was very sweet, and seemed very genuine. But apparently, there were ups and downs behind the scenes, and last weekend she broke it off.

The thing is, she's already got a new boyfriend. It's been half a week.

It makes me doubt the credibility of romance even more than usual.
