So. I am almost done with all the achievements of RE5 and then I learned that the new DLC for the game will include some kind of crazy head to head mode? Deathmatch or something? I hope that is belated april fool's thing. Fuck.
This was a pretty chill weekend. I watched the "last" Futurama movie and I liked it. I liked it a lot more than Bender's Game, but I think that the finality of the latest release is a little bit of a cop-out. It felt a lot like the ending to Bender's Big Score. They still have a bazillion things they could do with it. Also, Bender dressed up as a whore is pretty hilarious.
Jacquie has been addicted to Viva Pinata for a while now, and I somewhat regret showing her the game. I don't mind sharing the x-bawks, but it's a little disturbing at times to hear her screaming at the TV, "why aren't you two having sex?! I gave you assholes candy already!" Yes, that is what the game devolves into. Feeding pinatas roofies and making them fuck each other like...pinatas. Also, crossbreeding and genetically engineering superior pinatas.
I'm thinking of grabbing a copy of GoW2 for myself, especially since Akio has asked me to pick it up to play the game with him on Fridays and Saturdays. I'll also have to look into some good games to play on XBL with him - but not SF4 since I have been told that the online play right now is utter trash and that the lag is truly bad.
In the meantime, it is still house shopping times. I like the idea of having my own house - and I can certainly afford one right now, but the task of finding a place is daunting, and the idea of moving isn't horribly appealing. However, with rates the way they are and prices dropping like a rock, it is a good time to invest right now. I just wish that prices would drop further. It doesn't help that NPR and CPR are reporting that the housing market appears to have found a "bottom." I am hoping they are very, very wrong. I want to buy houses for much much less. haha.
