The con was CANCELLED! Le gasp. D:
Hahaha. So the convention I was talking about, Go Kaisho, ended up getting cancelled HOURS before the event (rumors started circulating before nightfall, however official word of its cancellation was released at 11:45pm. An event cancelled at almost midnight before the day it was scheduled to take place; what is this unbelievable tragedy) and thus many cosplayers raged. In lieu of staying at home, certain cosplay groups ended up planning impromptu gatherings at certain malls. One of these gatherings got out of hand, and caused a significant amount of trouble in the mall where it was held, but I don't wish to elaborate on this, because it's a long story and I don't really know the true details of what happened (I have a multitude of opinions on the matter, but for now, I shall keep them to myself)... However, what I know of happened has made me even more concerned for the reputation of the local cosplay scene.. Although the rest of the smaller gatherings went fine, as far I know.
Team Orz had a different backup plan in mind... We didn't want to waste the preparations we made before the convention but at the same time we also didn't want to take part in the large gathering (powers of intuition: we can has them), so we decided to hold a mini-photoshoot at my place, so we could update our cosplay resumes/galleries in Deviantart and cosplay.com, something which we intended to do using the photos that were supposed to be taken at the con, had it pushed through. XD
Yay! Here you can see my new Maka skirt and my "fixed" Scythe (lol all I did was make the red go up until the end of the blade LOL) I feel a little annoyed that I miscalculated and ended up causing only 1 horizontal stripe to show up on the finished skirt but BAHHH oh well, it's a good thing it's so short that my little error is obscured. XD
Here's Billie with her finished Black Star weapon! OHAI YOU LOOK KINDA COOL, BEBE (I'm really sorry I forgot to make your scarf.. ;A; I'LL GET IT DONE BEFORE WE COSPLAY SE AGAIN, I PRAMIZ D:)
After we shot our Soul Eater costumes, Billie, Alex and I transformed into Hetalia characters and proceeded with the mini-shoot. Here I am with my new England wig! (I decided to go with the anime version, wherein Iggy has a more yellowish hair color.)
AND SPEAKING OF TRANSFORMATIONS, I got amused with the amount of "costume changes" I made that day, so I joined them all in one photo using the previous two cosplay shots and another shot from the same day, when Ina (crayoneyeliner ) and I went off to a friend's party...
LOL TRANSFORMATION POWERS, I HAS THEM. Can I be a sailor senshi now?
We took more photos that day, but so far these are all that have been imported/uploaded. Will update once I get the rest of the shots, but for now, see you and 'til the next con! :D
