Alright kiddies, today I'm gonna give you a listen of songs you should be listening to, consider this the Josh Dillon mix tape, man I’m so indie

2 Live Crew - Me So Horney This is easily one of the first sexually explicit rap songs and the 2 live crew invented a style of rap known as Miami bass with this track, even if you don't like rap you should still get this song just for a laugh.

AC/DC - Rock And Roll Ain't Noise Pollution Now what can I say about this song that hasn't already been said? Not a hold lot. This song is the spirit of rock and roll to me. For AC/DC this song was also an answer to their critics who tried to make AC/DC out to be satanic untalented monsters. If you don't have this song already you don't know what rock and roll is.

Aesop Rock - Dryspell If you don't know who Aesop Rock is you must have been in a coma for the last 4 years. Aesop is one of the best of the new hip hop genre known as "alt-rap" his lyrics are always poetic, his timing is always on and the beat in this song is so crazy, something about 1940's jazz samples I just can't get enough of. If you like your music moody and your lyrics poetic, then get this song right now.

Against Me! - What We Worked For Easily one of the bands that keeps me listening to punk, they've done what you should with punk, and that's keep it simple and do your own thing, this song makes me want to get up and scream the lyrics at my computer monitor, This guys are talented and enough their new stuff is a bit over produced they still sound great and if they keep up this flood of cool music 20 years down the road I’d be happy to see them at a reunion show.

Themselves - Good People Check Is it ambient grooves? is it the evolution of hip hop? is it poetry set to music? What ever it is it's themselves, and they rock hard. this song is a great example of their production abilities and lyrical skills, this is one tight group, these guys helped me get into anticon, and the whole rebuilding hip hop idea. If you want to hear something that is nothing like anything you've ever heard before, get this song.

At The Drive In - Invalid Litter Dept. Any thing I could say about this band or this song would be an understatement. At The Drive In is just one of those bands that couldn't do any thing wrong, except brake up, but if they didn't brake up we wouldn't have Sparta or mars volta.

Atmosphere - Modern Man's Hustle "the first time I met the devil was at a motel 6" That's the first line from this song, and it's just a taste of slug's off beat lyrics and style, and with Ant (aka Mr. dibbs) on production you can't go wrong. this is emotional hip hop at it's best, I haven't heard an emotion rap song like this since the days of de la soul and a tribe called quest. It's moving, and realistic, and it's hard to turn off.

Choking Victim - Fucked Reality Who says crack heads can't make great music?

Chuck Berry - Johnny B. Good The man invented rock as we know it, he was the first rock and roller to use an electric guitar, where would rock music be with out chuck berry?

Cypress Hill - When The Shit Goes Down Every one likes cypress hill, come on admit it something about B reel and sen dog that you just can't resist. and this is the best song on the black sunday album, the beat is so groovy, the lyrics are perfectly hardcore enough that every one from gangsters to computer programmers can love them. Remember the first time you heard Insane in the brain? this song may be able to help you relive that feeling.

Dark Lotus - Headache alright forget the stigma, forget ICP is in this group, listen to the lyrics and the beat that’s all I’m asking and you may be happy with what you find.

David Allen Coe - Long Haired Red Neck call me racist if you want for liking David Allen Coe, despite what you may think he's only ever wrote one racist song, and he's wrote hundreds of classic outlaw country songs, this is to me, one of his best works. It's a song about being an outlaw in country music, the slick country licks will have you tapping your foot and the off the wall lyrics will get you singing along before you know it, the only problem with this song is it's only 3 and a half minutes long.

DJ Shadow - fixed income The best DJ I've ever heard, end of story.

alright well that's a lot of shit so far, I’m gonna leave it at that for now and finish the list later.
