RP: With Le Chiffre

Jan 30, 2008 17:49

At 1:23 PM, exactly eight hours from when his mind finally drifted off to sleep, Villiers opens his eyes.

He doesn't need an alarm clock. Years of working for bosses with odd hours has graced him with the odd ability to wake when needed, and he has come to like his daily recommended eight hours. Do excuse the late time, though -- Le Chiffre does ( Read more... )

Admittedly, Le Chiffre's internal clock is a little off. Or a lot off. But not falling asleep until the early hours of the morning is a perfectly acceptable thing to do in his mind, and has become even more of a habit this past year when he's had all the time in the world to laze around. The occasional afternoon class that he actually has to teach isn't exactly taxing ( ... )

Well, there is the argument that Villiers is quite possibly already part of the furniture, what with his doormatty qualities. Always tread upon, always there, useful for cleaning things, a good person to greet others -- the list goes on.

After he takes a bite of strawberry (mmm...strawberry), Villiers is moving again to fill Friedrich's water dish and to give the pup a light snack, whenever he feels like coming around to get it. Then, standing, back to strawberries.

...although he might be nibbling at little bits of the plain sugar as well. Because sweet is good. And it's not like anyone's looking.

Although the lump of bedsheets and sleeping human is given a glance, and an affectionate smile. Because, notorious villain under covers and refusing to wake up? Is adorable.

And to add to the moment even more, the coffee's approaching ready, and doesn't it smell wonderful?

Today, Villiers decides, is a good day.

It's a possibility that Le Chiffre's finally starting to wake up, or is already awake. Either way, he's shifting further down under the covers into the world of warmth, comfortableness and muffled silence. It's nice, he's decided, although he'd prefer to have Villiers back in there for the snuggles extra body heat.

Speaking of.. he's only just starting to register that there isn't a Villiers beside him, so with another sulky sounding groan, the top of his head emerges from the depths to take a look.

There are a pair of odd eyes watching Villiers now, or at least staring in the general direction he was at, peering from over the top of a set of black sheets, good eye squinting against the change of light. The covers were better, definitely, for it was dark under there.

That smile's turning into a soft laugh, even as the coffee maker shuts down with a click. And so he's finishing off his strawberry before turning to the pot and pouring into the two mugs.

"You have impeccable timing," he says warmly, already reaching for the sugar. Two spoons for each of them, although Villiers' cup also gets a spot of cream and milk. A sip as well, for that matter, because a warm drink's enough to fully wake him up.

And so he returns, both cups and his little bowl of strawberries (with quite a lot of sugar dumped on them, for he only has so many hands) carried carefully and deposited on the bedside table. Before, of course, he leans over to kiss Le Chiffre and to slide back under the covers.

"Morning," he says as he settles in, "or rather, afternoon."

"Mmmmmmm," is about the only response Villiers gets, long and dragged out but comfortable sounding as Le Chiffre emerges just that little bit more, arms lifting up to aid in a lasting stretch, almost cat-like in his slow movements and smug stares.

And after that, he's tugging the covers back up and rolling on his side to watch Villiers through half-lidded eyes, and with a very vague smirk at his lips.

There's the possibility of him falling asleep again at any given moment, being the sort that not only has the ability to stay away for days on end, but also sleep for days on end.

Unlike Le Chiffre, Villiers is sitting up, a pillow making the rather impractical headboard at least slightly comfortable. It's a position that's outright encouraging him to curl a hand around to card through Le Chiffre's hair, while the other nabs yet another strawberry.

...strawberries! And a Le Chiffre. Villiers is quite a happy little aide.

There's a quiet laugh. "I don't suppose you're ready for coffee, yet?" he asks lightly, before taking a bite of fruit. With sugar. Sugar is good, see, for Villiers has quite the sweet tooth.

It's the smell of the coffee that's winning him over, but right now he's not going to be moving. Except maybe for the gradual shift towards Villiers, head seeking out his chest and using it as a suitable pillow, because it's waaaarm and familiar and about all his brain can process right now.

There'd be complaining of the hand in his hair, but seeing as his hair's already a mess, he hasn't got much of an argument, and there's still the whole problem with speech. Though he does eventually manage to answer the question with a very mumbled, "Mmmminnaminute."

The hand in Le Chiffre's hair moves down to caress a cheek as he moves closer, heading down to settle at a shoulder. Villiers is tactile, and Le Chiffre is warm -- and he even gets a kiss to the temple for adorableness and a nuzzle against his hair just for the sake of it. A smile.

"...'course, 'course," is mumbled against his hair, half a mockery of Le Chiffre's sleepiness, half sheer contentment from the aide. Before, of course, his head lifts and his free hand (carefully!) reaches for his coffee to take another sip. Mmmm, coffee.

Le Chiffre's perfectly content to lay there all day, even with Villiers' very light, amused style of mocking. He can deal with that, so long as it means neither of them moving.

A few more minutes of silence linger before he's actually opening his eyes again, possibly after drifting off for that short while. Maybe he should get up.. or at least not sleep forever. And with that in mind, Le Chiffre pushes himself to sit up, a hand slapping to his face with a general groan of 'ugh', while he moves back to rest his head at Villiers shoulder now.

"Coffee."

And it is in those few minutes that the strawberries are all but demolished, and Villiers' own coffee half drunk. It's quite a good way to start the day, he decides, moving his arm to wrap around Le Chiffre's waist as the sleepyhead finally moves again, tilting his cheek in just enough to rest against Le Chiffre's head. Stifling an amused chuckle, of course -- if more people saw what terrorists were like first thing in the morning afternoon, maybe they'd be a bit less terrified.

Because it's adorable.

And, of course, coffee is retrieved with utmost obedience and ever-present efficiency. The mug's nudged against his arm.

"As always," is Villiers' simple, warm reply.

The coffee is taken without hesitation, cupped in both hands as he leans his weight up against Villiers and sips from the mug carefully. It's cooled down enough to drink quickly, which is just how he likes it, because caffeine should be in his system as quick as possible, and sometimes downing coffee is the only way.

He may be slightly more awake now that he's sat up and had his afternoon dose of coffee, but it doesn't mean he's likely to move off Villiers just yet. Oh, and here Villiers, have an empty mug handed back.

"I don't know how I ever managed without you, my dear."

"Nor, quite frankly, do I," is Villiers' deadpan remark, his amusement betrayed by a carefully hidden smile.

He takes the offered mug to join his own on the table, before both arms return to a comfortable position encircling Le Chiffre's waist. Now that the other's awake, he lets his own eyes fall shut.

"Anything notable happening today?"

That response gets a quirk of an eyebrow, but little more. There's no need to be complaining about having Villiers around, seeing as he does useful things like make coffee in the morning and sit around being good for pillows and stuff.

"Hardly. Perhaps stay in bed all day and sleep. Sounds like the best option to me," he replies in a low mumble, trailing a finger idly down Villiers chest as his gaze flicks up to him. Maybe staying in bed all week would work.

There's yet another kiss to Le Chiffre's temple, Villiers' grip on him tightening minutely as he settles himself in a bit more for the possibility of staying put for a while.

"You just like any excuse to laze about," he teases lightly, no objections immediately apparent. It's not like there are things that need to be done, other than the small matters of ever-present ironing to do and books to read.

"Of course," Le Chiffre mutters back smugly, fingers skating back up Villiers chest to cup under his chin, bringing him down for a proper kiss, while Le Chiffre stretches up to meet it.

Sadly ironing and reading aren't the only things to consider either. There's also an annoying, whiny puppy to think about, who is thankfully being quiet for now, but only because it's even more lazy than it's master.

"It's either stay in bed, or attempt to be social downstairs, and I'm bored of the latter."

At the kiss, Villiers hums happily, letting his eyes fall shut as he enjoys a coffee-flavoured kiss. Coffee. And Chiffre. And kisses. All are good things that good mornings are made of.

He looks up, almost contemplative, as he seemingly considers his options. Here, he's warm, comfortable, with a sprawled banker practically in his lap and a day full of lazing about to look forward to. If he were to instead get dressed and wander downstairs, he might just be subject to Milliways' latest insanity, or perhaps another brain-breaking character, the sort that seems to make Milliways home.

...Villiers will stay here, he supposes.

It's with a returned kiss that he answers. "...sounds like a plan."
