Reading, on the couch, is one of Villiers' favourite activities.

Even more so, now, that he has the perfect cuddlepartner when doing so.

"Ode 22," he reads. And smiles.

A kiss, to the top of Imriel's head. "Quite befitting of you, I must say."

And he reads:

"Integer vitae scelerisque purus ( Read more... )

A few days later.

Or maybe a few days earlier. Who knows. It's Millitime. Physics is fluid.

Villiers sits on the couch, watching the latest Doctor Who.

Because in the end, he's still a sci-fi fan.

Imriel opens the door and walks in, humming to himself.

His shirt is buttoned three short of the top, and slightly rumpled.

There are grass stains on his trousers.

When he hears the door, Villiers turns to give a welcoming smile, ever warm and affectionate.

And then, a raised eyebrow at Imriel's appearance.

The TV gets switched off, and now there's a Villiers walking towards him. Tsking, amusedly.

"Well, now, what do we have here..."

He drops his eyes and blushes, grinning ruefully.

"I went for a walk," he mumbles, stepping forward to give Villiers an extraordinarily thorough kiss hello.

Villiers' smile is outright impish.

And mm, kiss. But that isn't going to distract him from-

He pulls back. "You slept with someone," he says with a playful grin. Then, nose buried against his shoulder: "a woman."

Villiers is inexplicably amused.

"Mm. Yes."

Nuzzle nuzzle kiss.

He can still smell her on him, whoever she was. It's...kind of kinky.

"And who was the lucky lady?" he murmurs, nibbling an ear. Not jealous -- it's actually a little reassuring to know that he's not the only one sleeping around.

"Refused to give her name, for some reason."

Imriel very clearly thinks kissing Villiers is more important than talking about his nameless (if wonderful) one-night stands.

But Villiers is curious!

But alas, he succumbs quite easily to kisses. For they are good things.

Already, he has his arms wrapped around him, warm and welcoming.

Mm.

"Introduced herself as the Lady San'Merci," he adds idly in a pause for breath.

...Keats.

"La Belle Dame Sans Merci," he murmurs, suddenly fascinated.

"You shagged a woman from one of the most famous poems in history?"

"Mmm?"

Imriel shrugs.

"Mayhap."

"Well, my most beautiful lover," he says, "from what the poems say, she is a breathtaking and cruel mistress, like to leave men wanting long after she leaves them."

For his part, he's mostly glad that Imriel is still here, still obviously his, and not at all like cold and ragged knights.

He licks his lips and considers this.

"I can't say wanting is the word," he murmurs, thoughtfully.

It would imply dissatisfaction. There is certainly no dissatisfaction here.

And then Villiers licks those lips after him. Playful.

"A worthy pursuit, then?"

An arm, twined around his waist, to pull Imriel close, and towards the couch.

"Very much."

He grins, wide and bright.

"Perhaps I ought to introduce you, hmmn?"
