Hey kids -
Well, the weekend went by without much fanfare - which was just fine with me! I did so enjoy the Mother’s Day Show that
power2freeze put on for me at WET this past Wednesday. He brought out some queens that I’ve never seen before that night. Congratulations on being the only assistant and/or member of the Family to keep something for a show secret from me! Now you better start planning that Birthday Show for July!
Speaking of Birthday’s and also what went on Wednesday that was so surprising: My dear friend Eric Gregory AKA
"The Guy Who Takes The Pictures" is celebrating his Birthday tomorrow, May 16. Be sure to check out his galleries and send him some Birthday love! If you happen to be free tomorrow night and in the Seattle area, I happen to know that there will be a gathering of friends and assorted other crazies at Changes in Wallingford.
While I’m on the subject: Tomorrow I’ll be traveling by car to Bremerton at 9:30AM (yes, you’re reading that right - 9:30AM!!!) to MC/Host/Perform at Olympic Community College’s first on-campus Gay Pride Celebration. I’m a tad worried - but it should be fine, just a very long day. I know that I’ve gone out to the peninsula before - but those were for gay-specific events. This will be on open campus - an entirely different matter. I may just need the love of the crowd and cheap burgers of Changes by the time evening rolls around.
BOY CULTURE is finally coming home to Seattle, the city where we filmed it! Ticket go on sale TODAY!
BOY CULTURE is a special Gala Presentation at the Seattle International Film Festival. This is a fantastic festival and the largest in the country. I used to volunteer for the festival way back in the 1990s. We’ll be screening at the legendary Egyptian Theatre on Friday, May 26 at 7:00PM. There is a special “Gay-la” party after the screening. We’ll have a second screening at the Egyptian on Saturday, May 27 at 1:30PM.
Tickets for both screenings and for the Gala party are available here:

Okay - that’s it. I’m going to try and get outside to enjoy some of this amazing weather we’re having in the Pacific Northwest today. They say it may even reach 80 degrees today!! Lord - isn’t it only May?!?!?
