"She's not Anna Nicole Smith, because she was smarter than Anna, I think. Remember, she played the violin with Jack Benny? So she could play the violin. She did a lot of smart things. She worked with George Axelrod. She was hardly slumming; she was a big star.

She could act stupid, but I don't think she really was stupid. She was a parody of Marilyn Monroe. She went beyond parody; she was an *insane* Marilyn Monroe.

Jayne seemed happy being completely out of her mind, as this sort of extreme glamour person."
