I have started teaching. They call me Mr. Jon or Mr. J. They are between the grades of 1-4. The disibilites that haunt them range from Learning disibilities, to emtional disterbences, to behavioral disorders, to mental retardation. They are among the most plesent group of people I have ever meet. They all really like me, even the ones who hated me at first. I have won them all over in two days. I feel like im making a difference for the first time in a long time.
The way the room is set up, I work with a different child on a different subject on a different level, every 15 minutes. This may be the most challenging thing I have ever done. I am exausted. I am hungry.
My classes suck and could be way more supportive. I still don't entirly know whats going on. Im looking forward to getting to take the next few days off
