It's been going pretty well...
So things have been going pretty well lately, not perfect, but not too bad. It was great going up to Mt. P for a week when I had midwinter break. I thought it would help the fact that I haven't seen everyone and I miss being up there, which it did while I was there, but then when I got home it made me want to go back even more so, oh well. It was a pretty good week, minus the incident that happened the saturday I got up there, but life's a bitch sometimes and you've just got to roll with the punches. One nice thing that came out of it was that J and I hung out a hell of a lot which turned out to be a lot of fun.
It was kind of odd going back to the dining commons to work for a week, but with me being broke I didn't really have much of a choice, and it gave me a good reason to tell my parents to get the hell out of dodge other than, "You're driving me crazy and I need to get the F out of here." The other nice part about working, besides the money, was that I got to see all of my friends that I used to work with since I was there all week. One funny thing that happened was that a lot of the students thought I was a nazi, but I didn't care. Because of the fact that for some reason I care if I do a good job,
I really misseds seeing all the guys too, but it was great to go back to the Hoose and hang out. It sucked that I didn't have any cash for the bar, but of course Pat to the rescue as always since he makes fast cash and is the best, best friend a person could ask for, so he took me out which was sweet. In general it was nice seeing everyone. I got to hang out quite a bit with Kinger all week too, but I think he got sick of me by the end of the week at work...LOL...but I'm sure he'll get me back. I finally got to hang out with Kurt one night too and the rest of the guys.
Of course the appartment was still a pit, but I didn't really expect much more. And of course one of the otehr funny things was the fact that I think I saw less of Brem that week than I did of almost everyone else I saw that week. All in all it was a good week, esp because I finally got to see Jenn, Jess, and V whom I also haven't seen in a while, man I miss being up there.
I ended up taking off on Fri to go down to my first official trip to EMU. That was a blast. I got to see Dan whom I haven't got to actually hang out and drink with in at least a couple of years. I've really missed hangin out with that kid so it was a great addition to my break. I finished up my trip going to Rachel's on sat night and hanging out with her. It was pretty uneventful b/c she flew in from Puerto Rico sometime after 9, then she couldn't find her luggage, and didn't get home til about 10:30 pm. By that time I had almost fallen alseep on her couch waiting for her, and we were in bed I think within the hour. The next morning was pretty short as well because I had to get back home to work at the park by 2.
This week hasn't been too bad either. The only thing I wish I would've done over break is get more school work done, but o well. Nothing too exciting this week except it was nice having a snow/ice day on thurs and being able to sleep in for a couple of extra hrs. Fri night I was back at Rachel's for a surprise 50th b-day party for her mom. I was originally supposed to stay there that night, but because she had so much family over and I didn't want to sleep on an uncomfortable couch I ended up heading back down to Ypsi to see Dan for another night of drinking and fun (hooray for Kamikazees). I wish I had enough time and money to make it down there every week, but this has helped to make up for not hanging out for a couple years.
I got back to Livonia around 2 on sat, and since Rachel was at a wedding shower for her cousin, I hung out with Doug and Kyle for a bit. We attempted a movie, but there was nothing good playing, and then bowling, but apparently in Novi you can't go bowling without a reservation, so we ended up at 12 oaks for a bit. It was fun, though they couldn't understand why I didn't want to partake in stalking a group of girls through the mall. I ended up back at Rachel's last night for an evening of hanging out with her, some of her family, and a couple of her friends.
