Concert Series O5'
Yesterday, was my first experience at Jones Beach theater was
gosu. Band performing: O.A.R. Never heard of them? Neither
did I. That is, until my good friend Scott got into them (being
as college oriented as he is) and actually discovered this band is
ridiculously popular among campus. He let me have a listen and they
were pretty good. The best way to descibe them were like a more
Upbeat version of DMB, with a tinge of 311 to boot (melody wise).
Not wanting to miss a chance to spend my money and see a concert, I
tagged along with him and it...was...amazing. I only knew the
words to like 2 songs, but still, it was a blast. Besides, it was Scott's first concert. Its about dam time. At least his first one will hopefully leave the taste of music on a high note. The opening
bands sucked but O.A.R picked up the slack. In about the middle
of the concert, they played a cover song of U2, "Sunday Bloody Sunday"
and everyone (including myself) went insane.
