Rush yesterday set me off. It's a damned shame the most listened to radio talk show host in the USA pulls punches when he absolutely does not need to. Thus begins my rant:

While Rush is dead-on when he says the person who has leaked classified information to the New York Times and Washington Post is almost certainly an elected official, what he failed to point out is why.

Let me put it out there, to you, in plain, easy to understand language: The Democratic Party of the United States wants another 9/11-style attack on this country, so they can blame George W. Bush and the GOP.

I mean, come on, why do you think the RATS are failing to make a distinction between terrorists, those who harbor terrorists and innocent civilians? They carry on like everyone is at risk from these wiretaps, for example, when in fact it just isn't true. Those on the left, not even those at the New York Times, have been able to come up with a single instance where a civilian has had their conversation recorded simply because they called someone overseas (Just don't ask them about that call with Newt Gingrich.).

They carp about these secret places around the world where terrorists may be held and (gasp!) tortured and yet are absolutely silent when an innocent person is kidnapped and beheaded in a video circulated all over the Internet.

(As an aside, it is worth mentioning the "Geneva Convention" everyone likes to bring up only affects those who signed onto it. Neither Bin Laden nor al-Qaida ever did.)

So why are they doing this? Why the constant bellyaching? For political reasons. Yes, this is all about undermining President Bush because of his party affiliation.

When Bill Clinton and certain members of the U.S. Senate referred to Saddam Hussein's "weapons of mass destruction," they had used the same information that was made available to Bush when he used them as part of his motivation for the Iraq War. But when that information became questionable, it was Bush that got slammed, ironically by some of the same aforementioned Senators. Not a word was spoken about Clinton.

And should we even mention "Echelon"?

So while people are playing politics, sacrificing security in the name of getting George W. Bush, Bin Laden sends out a tape that declares we will be attacked again. While I shudder to think what Bin Laden may have in mind, the fact these political games are making us vulnerable just plain pisses me right the hell off.

When the next attack occurs, as it will, be sure to blame the right party. And that is not George W. Bush.
