It seems to me we have been playing nice for far too long. During the recent GOP Convention, we had heard of protesters not being content with having marches and rallies in the streets of NYC, but going so far as getting credentials for the sole purpose of infiltrating the convention itself trying to disrupt proceedings. They also committed acts as violence toward people trying to protect the Vice President of the United States.
It should go without saying the Dems have lowered the bar since the 1968 Democrat Convention in Chicago, sinking to new and unprecedented lows. Since when have the Pubbies done something like this? Never. Never.
So why not drop the pomp and circumstance and give them a taste of their own medicine? Are we afraid the media is going to portray us negatively? Hate to be the bringer of bad news, kids, but they are going to do that no matter what we do. So we should do just what is called for and never mind the bollocks.
IMPORTANT: I do not and cannot endorse the use of violence against others. I truly believe, however, if someone is going to get up in your face and call you names simply because you support Bush or you are a Republican or you are a conservative or you love America or whatever you should get right back up in theirs. And, no, I do not believe you should not defend yourself if the aforementioned decides to speak with his fists instead of his mouth. But remember you could just as well be arrested as your tormentor, so be wise.
