So happy early november everyone (as if that hasnt been said enough). I think that November is quickly becoming my favorite month, everything is perfect...outside everything is changing, and its just amazingly humbling.

So...in real life...the middle school show is next week. Come on out and see it, its pretty good. and other than that this month is just gonna be great, i hope. It got off to a rocky start...i think you know what i mean...but its picking up.

Well, thats it i guess...

Well, the election was on Tuesday, and we all know how that turned out. I must say I wasnt that surprised. Kerry ran a stupid campaigne and Bush's team simply was smart about it. However, Bush did win, which in a way isnt devestating. I just hope he can figure out how to bring this nation together.
So to those who supported Bush, congradulations. He won fair and square and hopefully he will be able to fufill his promises.
But to those who supported Kerry...a complete reevaluation of the democratic party is under way. I think by 2008 we will see a strong and unified party waiting to take on whoever the Repubilcans choose.

Where Kerry Went Wrong
After the Democratic Primaries we saw a Democratic party electrified by Howard Dean. This was a very liberal, anti-war party. However, they chose Kerry over Dean showing a sign of things to come. Kerry's strategy under Mary Beth Cahill was to keep Kerry's true politics out of the limelight and try to win over the 6% of undecideds and maybe even convert some more liberal Republicans. Of course this strategy backfired because Kerry, a very liberal senator, had to go against his record to try and project a more centrist message. Here is how the Democrats lost the easiest election in a decade or so. With Kerry running a Kind-But-Not-Really-Anti-War-But-Pro-Iraq-Policy campaigne Kerry actually lost supporters. See, Bush rallied his base continually challenging Kerry's record while reaffirming his stance on...everything. Kerry, still pangering to the swing voters, was unable to communicate his new ideas because he really didnt know them. Kerry and Cahill played right into the Rebublicans hands by heeding the warnings of the Republicans to not do any "Bush-Bashing" at the DNC. Well, a month later we saw just a slew of attacks on Kerry. So Kerry went on the offense, but by then it was too late. People only remember certain things, and nothing Kerry could have done would have erased the title of Flip-Floper. So you see, Kerry shot himself in the foot. All we can hope is that the democrats arent so stupid next year.
