After finishing my midterm for digital photo (which I can't really post because the physical presentation was important, plus it's just modifications of photos I've posted before), the darkroom tech guy busted out the styluses for the WACOM tablets in the digital lab. Resulting in these:
B&W photos digitally recolored in photoshop. It's a LOT of fun, and I might try and do it for my final project.
My favorite of the bunch. I completely forgot to color the rock in the foreground, though. I'll go back and do it.
The first one I did, mostly as proof of concept. A lot more detail than you could get hand-coloring stuff; note especially the tree trunks. Plus the overlay opacity mode just works SO WELL with this.
The sky is mostly just a placeholder in case I figure out something to do with it.
There's some gaps in the coloring in places due to a different technique I was trying. It didn't work out that great. Also, I had some trouble with the eyes. I have some much better examples of skin tone work (surprisingly easy once you get the hang of it) but they're not done yet.
