visitor's day, the ups and the downs

this past sunday was visitor's day. I suppose it was alright. I mean, my school friends didn't show up and I had to spend a lot of time stressing about the tochnit erev for that night. Aurie and I had forgotten to plan it. in the end it turned out really great. it was all about global warming and the different effects that people have on it. I am so grateful for the tzevet right now. we really pulled together. they saved my ass. Sometime midweek I went through a bit of a crisis and almost broke down. not fun. on friday I had to deal with allegations that some of my boys had violated somebody's property. really not fun to deal with. but Gil did an incredible job. I was really impressed. so after the boys hated us for a little bit because we came after them hard. then last night they decided to all run out into the night. it was final mesibah and they felt the need to stay out all night. chasing them was really no fun. myself, ran, and rachel chased down all the boys and sent them home. we even kept them there. I learned so much too. I watched how she dealt with them and then applied my own style. I think I did a good job. I am glad however to leave the chotrim behind. I am done with them. Sarah, Sam, and Jossie left today. I wish I had gotten to know Sam better. now I guess I never will. I will really miss Sarah but even more so I will miss Joss. we were so close that even members of tzevet thought that we were together. today we got a new member of tzevet. Simon. he's french and looks very european. you know, tight clothes and spiky hair. makes my american mind think he's gay. the trouble is i'm working with the guy and do not need any distractions. I'm working with Iris too. we have the sayarim who are the youngest kids in machaneh. what a joy it will be to have them with us. I really dislike some kids in their kvutsah. micaela and nadav are stupid. at least first session is over. time to move on to other things.
