Race to the future
Electric cars launching again in the USA. I actually suspect they'll catch on quicker in Europe, where Project Better Place is busily trying to create country wide charging networks. That's hard to do in the USA where the distances involved are just so much bigger. Once those are in place corporate fleets will switch across very quickly for the inevitable tax breaks and marketing sheen.
It's possible that the impending arrival of second born might result in us having to get a car. I hope not. I'm hoping that in a few years I'll be able to acquire a nice electric car that runs on a rapidly greening national electricity supply. We'll see.
