My Trip

1311.20 miles. Most of them traveling on I-90 through the mid-western states here. The first day we left, my family and I, at six thirty to Chicago to visit my grand parents, uncle, aunt, and baby too. With the time change we made it there around eleven thirty.

[/sleep]

We had breakfast all together and moved my stuff all into my car then I began my drive. Up to Wisconsin, then down to Tinypop(Minasoda, then across into South Dekota. SD was the worse. I think I hit seven pheasents as I was driving through. I swear there were herds of them rampaging over the road.

Yet it was all pretty and getting prettier as I headed west. I started to get landsick because I wasn't use to waving hills to my sides, Michigan not having these sights. The hills were covered in red clay that tinged the sky a pale pink spreading from one horizon from the other. At one point I stopped to gape in awe to admire the beauty that had formed in this horrid state called SD. Yet anyone who knows me would know why I have this unrelenting hate for this cesspool of government.

I bunked in a town called Clariton where I walked into a convience store to find that it was truely up to it's name. It was being very convienient to the cashier who was about my age sitting at the counter smoking a ciggerete.

I slept, if you can call it sleeping. Awoke at seven, rolled over to sleep for another fifteen then crawled into the shower to scrape the dirt from my eyes. So I made it out my door at eight o'clock. It took me an hour to make it to the border of the time zone on the map. An hour and a half to reach the sign proclaiming the time change. A day for my phone to realize that something had changed and we were no longer in Kansas.

Budget Inn. After a brief tour of Gillette I rented a room at the formention hotel which was packed full. Just as every other hotel is here. You see there is a population of 19,453 people here. It's growing by the hundreds yeah day. This town has one paragraph on homes for rent/sale and six pages front and back for Help Wanted. I thought that was a little fake so I drove around the town. (This drive was made possible by 2.55/gal gass)

Each store here has a Now Hiring sign out. BK had a sign that said: We're hiring for $9.

That's it for now.
