Gound Control, Am I clear for take off?
Some days it hits me upside the head how each day that passes brings me one step closer to my exodus. With January almost over I'm really starting to feel that my remaining time here is becoming more and more limited. This is mostly a good thing as I'm very much looking forward to seeing new things, meeting new people and exploring a new home. It also means I'll be leaving behind a lot of people I love dearly and that sometimes makes me a little sad. It's also stressful to think of how much money I'm going to need to make the trip and how I'm soon going to have to start liquidating my stuff. Yeah so much random crap, and (almost) everything must go!
I've been poking around making a DIY soft-box tonight (found some great suggestions at diyphotography.net), or rather I was thinking about it, I ended up mostly just looking through Deviant-art at some of the amazing work other photographers are doing out there. Really quite inspiring and at the same time somewhat intimidating.
I've got some really exciting projects in the works myself though. I'm hoping these will be worthy of staying in my portfolio for the long haul.
Yarr, it's the old man's bed time. With less than a month left until my birthday I'm surprised I acctually feel somewhat younger this year than last.
Trying hard to keep up my pitiful momentum. Soon it'll be imperative that I build up speed, the sky's the limit and I have to break orbit.
