Whew. This is a promo update before I have time to do a full one.
NxNE was a lot better than I thought it would be. The reports on all three days are up at i [heart] music: Day One, Day Two, and Day Three.
Best moments: getting asked if I was from Edge 102 [due to lanyard], getting asked if I was Australian by an Australian [due to jacket], seeing Chris Murphy twice, The Hot Springs, The Golden Dogs and watching Matthew slowly steal my clothes.
As if that wasn't enough, I found out last night I would be interviewing and seeing Band of Horses today. I just finished the interview and will be leaving shortly to go back for the show. I think it went well. Before the interview, I was happy to be interviewing a band from Seattle that was on Sub Pop and was playing a sold out Lee's Palace. After the interview, I was marvelling at the fact that I just conducted an interview while the interviewee was rolling a joint [though, in retrospect, when you take into account they have a song called "Weed Party", it's not that surprising]. I think I'm starting to understand Almost Famous...
