Labyrinth Lost>

The appendix at the end of the book uses vivid descriptive prose comparisons to discuss the experience of being stung by nearly a hundred insects, as well as ranking them on a 1-4 pain scale.

I don't suppose tarantula hawk wasps were on that list?

It was a library book, so I can't check for sure, but I seem to recall quite a bit about them.

Wait, the author's name is Schmidt; he's the guy who invented that scale in the first place and ranked the critters. So yeah, they'd be in there. Note to self, read more closely.

I should see if my library has that book.
