Overstocked
More and more often lately my little sister has been chiding us for ruining the earth by driving everywhere, while not actually knowing anything about how all of that works. Of course she leaves the lights and television on in the house whether she’s there to use them or not and doesn’t seem concerned about it. Then I have to come in like every baby boomer’s father with the we’re not powering the whole neighborhood, y’know routine while I flip off lights as I pass.
Anyway, last night in the car she brings up global warming (I forget why) and I finally ask for her to expound on what global warming will actually result in. She then tells me, in her most concerned tone, that global warming is bad because all of the polar bears will die, along with the penguins, and that this will cause “an overstock of fish”.
That last part she almost yells, so you know she was serious about it.
