PERSEVERANCE
I love Ian Somerhalder.. I really really do..... I am a Damon and a Damon/Elena fan, so it's natural. Plus he's a great human being. But this guy...I don't know if it's a conscious technique to keep the fans at bay or what but this guy has a penchant at being a pessimist, when it comes to Damon/Elena..... his Recent Interview has got me feeling a little sad and annoyed. And it's NOT JUST his interview.... the treatment towards Damon and pegging him as the eternal bad guy no matter what he does, has got me more than a little miffed. My OTP and first and foremost ship for this show is and always will be Damon/Elena. No matter if they get together or end up together or not. I am proud to see the improvements happening with Damon, the way he's growing into his full potential with Elena as his inspiration. My prority at this point is Damon/happiness... but my shipper heart will always want to see my OTP coming together and maybe sticking together (wishful thinking?)....
Anywho.... I found this quote written by a fellow reader in one of my favorite D/E fanfic written by lanixo .The quote and it's lace up with D/E is so perfect and I think that it has to be THE MOST ACCURATE AND HONEST TO GOD true sentiment that ALL true Damon/Elena fans out there have been experiencing for a big part of this 2 and a half years of journey...
So I tried a failed attempt at editing a D/E pic (THE D/E PIC OF THIS YEAR!)... and attached the quote to it.
