ROFL Copter!

Well, these last two weeks have been fun. School takes so much effort these days, what happened? I mean, I know I used to strive for 79.5s in classes (the lowest B possible!) and now I try to get as high a grade as I can on everything in order to get straight A's. And I know that has a lot to do with it. I could probably get by with B's in most classes with minimal effort, but not all. The classes these days just require so much more of you. The Operating Systems project of writing a WORKING Operating System simulator including the ram,CPU, and hard drive was tiring and never felt rewarding, just unending! Even the project for Game Design class took so much time to work on even though I had a lot of fun for the most part. Tests can take forever to study for, so much time in fact, that I get too tired of reading the text book and decide to write a Live Journal entry instead. This Operating Systems that I should be studying for right not is the last thing I have to do for school this semester. I cannot wait for it to be over with - freedom is brilliant! Once I am done, I am out of here I suppose. Now, I am not leaving tomorrow right after the test or anything. I have a few things to do here first. Instead of spending Mother's Day with my mom, I am going to Helen Georgia (a little Mountain old style German Town) and camping there. That should be fun, and is a better replacement for Mother's day, it's more like Mother's Day weekend and I will get to visit with her before I go for the Summer. Have not gotten anything ready for that small trip yet, but I should be able to get it together tomorrow after the test, we leave Thursday afternoon. Since I am not spending Mother's Day with my mom, you ask, what will I be doing? Well, I have discovered that with my Six Flags Season Pass, I can take 5 whole people to Six Flags with me for free. I wanted to extend an offer to Chris and Sarah as I know they have been wanting to go for years but haven't really found the opportunity and Chris has helped me out so much at not cost with Cars and saved me much more money than Geico ever could. That should be fun, I will just have to inform them that I will not wait for the Batman ever again if there is a line and they want to go on that. Six Flags should be my last day in Georgia for a little while and at least it should be fun, if it doesn't try to storm the whole time.

Also, before I leave, I really wanted to get a new bad ass computer, but that is looking less and less possible now. I finally compiled the list of everything it should have last night, quite a process I might add, and am ready to go, but no brick and mortar stores seem to carry anything. I doubt if I could get everything sent here in time and I would not even be home when it arrived which would make me awful nervous. I checked out a Computer store near the Mall today because they have some high end computing components and think that the person there was full of utter crap. After hours of research, I presented my list of parts to see what he had or could get and if he could not order it, he swore it was because it was an uber crappy part. After I told him I had researched it thoroughly around the web and Tomshardware, he told me that those places were as reliable as a random youtube video and also paid off by companies. Of course, all the parts he tried to get me to look at instead were much more expensive, and probably SLIGHTLY better, I was not buying it. What sealed that deal was when he said I should look at the magazines CPU and MaximumPC because they are accurate unlike the web. He told me that the company that made the Power Supply I had picked out doesn't sell Power Supplies, but when I looked at the magazine that he had with a large review section of Power Supplies, that specific Power Supply was listed and had a great rating from them. Also, when I went home, I checked out Maximum PCs website and its recent suggestion for parts for a PC for $1500 and it was the exact same stuff I had picked out and showed the guy! Either the guy does not read those magazines he has and only has knowledge from 2 years ago, or he was intentionally making things up as a reason for me to buy all my parts at his store instead of online. Either way, I do not think I want to buy my stuff from them, they are a small hole in the wall, I would feel a lot more safe ordering from Newegg anyway. I guess I will just have to see if I can't order my PC once I am up there. The only component I am not sure about is Windows Vista 64 bit. I know that my school lets me get free Windows some way or another, but first, I don't know if I have to bring my PC for them to install it, and second, I don't know if they even have the 64 bit version. I guess I will investigate that issue tomorrow after the test, yeah, the one I am not studying for.

One of the few other things I need to to before I go is finish X Files Season 2 with Justin, and Ash if he is not drunk. I think we are pretty damn close to the end, but I am not certain. I watched an episode with him last night that was one of the best ones so far. It was pretty amazing! About a kid tortured by his dead twin brother's spirit as they were never separated ceremonially in the old world Romanian way. The spirit took over and followed him with evil, killing nearly everyone he cared about. There was some badass exorcisms and for one of the first times in the show, Moulder looked scared shitless. He is usually so calm and laid back, but in this episode, he was just standing back. X Files is an excellent show and I cannot wait for more seasons, it is always fun to see an episode that I remember from being a kid. We have just the "Storyline" episode discs for the seasons following Season 2, but I hope we can instead get the full seasons! For example, this last episode had nothing to do with the main storyline and we would have totally missed it. What a shame.

I don't have any particular plans in Ohio, just maybe camping and some Cons. Also, maybe a trip to Massachussetts. I do have plans to go to a Family Reunion around the early to mid part of June. I might be back down here for a few days for that or I might just meet them in Nashville instead. Not sure yet. I guess I will try to continue modding PSPs in Ohio. I have decided to put money earned from that into a jar, the jar shall be labeled, "Summer full of Fund!"  I thought it was awesome! That declares the money as being specifically for doing fun things while I am up there. It shall not be saving, or looking to the future in any way.  I cannot think of a better way to name it than that, ever, not a million bajillion years it's so clever! Clever Trevor, that's what they say. I know I am awesome. Well, I really REALLY should get back to studying or sleeping or something now. First I will see if About My Life is back up yet and if our journals from forever ago on UJournal are back up before I forget to look for a few years.

Nope About My Life is still down, and people are still being really pissed off at everyone on the forums because of it... Oh well.. maybe next time?

Well, I'll see you folks later.
