Get Off Your Horse
All sorts of good films out to see this weekend. I think, in order, we may be seeing Milk, Rachel Getting Married, and Frost/Nixon. Seeing three in one weekend may be unlikely though, so maybe some of the movie-watching will stretch into next week.
And of course, Beverly Hills Chihuahua is out.
Was more than a little surprised to see yesterday that Robert Downey Jr is up for Best Supporting Actor at the Oscars this year for his role in Tropic Thunder. Surprised, but pleased - he was great in it. Of course, he won't win.
Also, surprised that Benicio Del Toro wasn't up for Best Actor in Che parts 1 and 2 (which I assume will be in the best Foreign Film section, incidentally, though I haven't checked yet). Maybe if the film you're acting best in is a foreign film that excludes you from nomination?
