For those gay who bitched at me relentlessly for supporting Hillary Clinton during the primaries, or yelled at me when I bitched about Biden's comment on gay marriage during the VP debate. I have say….. SUCK IT! I told you so! To quote
dogpound : “I really thought Obama would have waited until at least the end of January before he threw us under the bus”

Anyone can complain, condemn, and criticize. Save your outrage for when he truly fucks up, which he may very well do.

Do you think if he was a preaching Anti-Semitism he would be swearing Obama in? So why are you gay all taking this and making excuses for him?
I agree Obama was the best choice out there, but when he fucks up
He deserves to be called on his shit like anybody else.

Honestly, I get that you don't like it, neither do I. But lashing out at your flist isn't calling Obama on anything. You'll notice that I changed my opinion about the Prop 8 situation after your post about it a couple months back so I feel like my opinions and feelings are malleable and open-minded. But to be honest, one thing I'm becoming more and more exhausted with is the vast amount of negative energies people just sling about without concern with what the impact will be. It's never positive.
For me, it's less about Obama and any jack-off he picks to swear him in ( or any other political minutia people want to rant about), and more about having to read peoples constant outrage. It's exhausting.
Like I said, anyone can complain, condemn, and criticize.

Lashing out, or a better word for it would be venting my anger to my f-list is much better then running out in the street and screaming.
Looking on the positive side is great! (and I'm working on doing more of that) but there has to be time for venting, and this is one of those times. Harvey Milk didn’t get people together to march because they wanted a warm positive & loving walk down Market Street. Momentum was stated because people needed to vent their anger.
Besides I’d rather read an angry or negative post that I disagree with than one That reads “I like cheeses....who else does?” Which L-J has in abundance.

Harvey Milk may have been able to incite a lot of anger in the community, but you'll notice that, if we are to believe he was like he was in the film, he himself was not an overly angry person. He was a calm and composed person and got done what he wanted done by fighting (by forming alliances) but not necessarily lashing out at every injustice.
And I know you like to cite the "I love cheese, who else does?" example of peoples' posts on LJ, but honestly it's not any different then "Look at this fucker on the news! Are you all as angry as I am?!" which I see plenty of myself.

I couldn't, absolutely couldn't, agree with this more.
