OK FAGS! Here’s your bright Obama Day!

Dec 18, 2008 08:27

For those gay who bitched at me relentlessly for supporting Hillary Clinton during the primaries, or yelled at me when I bitched about Biden's comment on gay marriage during the VP debate. I have say….. SUCK IT! I told you so! To quote dogpound : “I really thought Obama would have waited until at least the end of January before he threw us under the bus” ( Read more... )

Oh you're just trying to stir the pot. You knew Obama was never going to follow your agenda... he has a few more things to worry about than just gay rights.

Is it a choice I would have made? Hell, no. But then nobody would vote for me for president. And the annoying guy is giving a speech, it's not like he's being given a cabinet post.

Yeah, it's not as though gay rights hold any kind of personal resonance for anyone.

Oh dear. No, I'm a big fan of gay rights, but I wouldn't expect our President-elect to exclude anyone who didn't support them from his inauguration. I'd be very shocked if any reference to gays made an appearance in his address.

yes, I'm just gonna stay back here and keep quiet some more, I really dont mind not having the same rights as str8 people.
It's fine, really.

Hey they let you fight in their wars, pay FULL taxes, and abide by their laws. So just shut up! Now go back to working in hair salons and gymnasiums

And I'd like to make as much money as you for the same job. Maybe as much as you'd like the right to marry. Do I think that should be the centerpiece of Obama's agenda? Actually I don't.

My point: while the passage of Prop 8--which I was very much against--is new and painful, there are other things that a President must be concerned with. I don't approve of the choice of Rick Warren, but in the grand scheme of things I think it will be forgotten quickly and will have no impact on the movement towards the legalization of gay marriage.

I think it's not so much about what's important to focus on as much as it is not having a really virulently anti-gay person speaking at his inauguration when he's trying to act like he supports the gay community.

Oh you know I love to stir the pot, but this was just tacky and a bad choice all around!

You right it’s not like he's being given a cabinet post. Those were ALL already given to people the served under Bill Clinton. So much for change…

Jeez, I know we both wanted Hillary, but give the dude a chance! At least he's appointment people who have experience and not just ideological agendas (and repulsive ones at that), like the outgoing loser....

Change will happen. Gay marriage WILL happen... but it will probably take a while.

And seriously, give the dude a chance. WE COULD HAVE HAD THE ALTERNATIVE...

NO! Sorry my dear, but this man equates homosexuality with incest and pedophilia, He preaches this to anyone that will listen! Now Obama is embracing him? Yea NO! I will not give him a chance. This is not about gay marriage for me, it about not being lumped in with the above

I'm not horribly upset over it. I've always believed in keeping your friends close and your enemies closer. And I care more about what Obama thinks than what Warren thinks. And I believe he was the first president to utter the word "gay" in a victory speech.

I don't believe that we advance closer toward equality by excluding any and everyone who disagrees with us. Quite the contrary, actually.

There is a difference between someone who disagrees with us and someone who vilifies us. This man equates you with child molests and people who practice incest….and he preaches the same. Like I said…he could have chosen anyone…..anyone else
