1. I really enjoy listening to Amy Winehouse. Yes, she needs to get off of drugs, but I am pretty much convinced that good music cannot be produced without drugs. Well, that's not entirely true, but great bands/ singers do not exist without them. That is what I am convinced of.
Her style is very.. soulful. Most things sound very thirties and fourties. She uses big band instruments in her music, which I really appreciate because there is real music in her music! And I adore her voice, it's very unique. She's great.
2. I just asked my mother what she would think about me going to a community college in Los Angeles, and she said she was actually going to suggest it to me. That way, I can get my residency during my two years and then real college won't be so expensive later! AHHHHHH, OH MY GOD. I MIGHT BE MOVING TO CALIFORNIA THIS YEAR. What if I did?
Oh my God, I would be so happy.
Even if nothing happens for me, what is more important for me is the expirience. I'd love to be successful, but it's really the journey that I find most important. The most interesting. I want to expirience all I can in this life, and if failing miserably at my dream is where that journey leads me, I'm really okay with it. I know I can do so much more with my life.
If my life doesn't go as planned... My second dream is to build schools in Africa. Either way, really, I will be happy. So happy. I would love to move to Africa and help people there... I plan on doing it later on in life, anyway.
Or maybe I'll stumble upon the cure for AIDS on the sidewalk or something. That would be pretty cool, too.
