(In response to an email sent by my dad to me, one of his old friends, my uncle, and some lady I don't know but who got stuck reading my Reply All anyway, in which he suggested watching
this infinitely terrible video)
Ah, yes. Smug anti-intellectualism is the absolute best way to demonstrate to those French-reading college nerds that you aren't as bad as you say you are. Clever of Andrew Klavan to notice! Good thing he did, too, because you've gotta be right on the ball when you're out there spreading your message to people who don't already agree with you instead of preaching to the choir in some safe walled-garden idiot enclave like, say, Pajamas Media's video wing.
Two odd pop culture references in the video struck me:
1. It might not be super smart to compare the president to the villain in a movie where the heroes are fascists, hmm?
2. Lara Croft is the lead character in the game Tomb Raider, which came out around the time most current college grads were in second grade. Not earning a lot of hipness-credibility there, Andrew Klavan.
Final thoughts: If conservatives aren't really mean or greedy or racist, why don't I see packs of liberals riding their expensive ATVs up and down the border hoping they'll get to shoot a Mexican? OH WAIT, can gross generalizations about political groups go both ways? WHAT MADNESS IS THIS
