Seek to percieve
Well, it's been a busy bit of time for me, not sure (without looking of course) when i last updated.
Anyway, The message for today's update is about pride. We are told that humbleness is the the best we can acheive. Being humble is considered a virtue. We are told that pride is a sin, the easiest one to commit and the easiest to ignore. Guilt is built into our lives, original sin haunts us from the time we are conceived. Sinner from birth. That is the title we carry on our backs. Why this burden? Who gave us this load? Why must we carry it, even unknowingly in our younger years. To go through life facing the fact that we have no right to have pride. We have no right to be happy about life.
I see this as a lie. Life should not be percieved as pointless or frivolous. Life is not just to die. It is to achieve and to follow our goals. Forget about the dogmas that you must cater to someone elses needs or that you must be generous to the homeless or jobless. How many Mcdonalds or BK's or Wendys, etc. are hiring?? The beggars on the street do not deserve a damn thing. They sit there on the street corners begging for dimes. A job is a job is a job. When we hand out a dollar that removes the 'needful' further away from a productive life.
Earn a living, do not be a looter. HAndouts are pointless. In the long run it is actually destructive.
The need of another man is not your problem. The teaching that I see moving through our society is "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need."
Who defines ability? Who defines need?
Those who take from those who produce use the producers virtue against them. They use the producers inherent guilt to control them. If a monopoly is present, it should not be destroyed, it should be challenged by something bigger and better, not ended by bills or congressional hearings.
My only point is, do not be born with original sin or a chip on your shoulder. Embrace life, love and proserity and if you earn what you have honestly no guilt should enter your life.
