Tomorrow I start the first part of my summer...the most banal part of the 3 month spread...I start my job on base, which we all know is a waste of everyone's time and tax money.
After work time, I go to Italy to play a concert, and then to Germany to do the study abroad thing for a month-ish. I'm starting to get a little worried about my transportation, as my professor called me today and wanted to make sure I got a plane ticket to Germany, which I have not because I am going to catch a train. However, all planes to Germany are pretty much booked, so I hope there will be a seat somewhere on a train that can take me within cab/bus/walking distance to my peeps. I have an eight hour meeting this Saturday that will hopefully help me solve some of the mysteries of this whole thing...8 hours...
Then upon return...I may miss my flight back to Atlanta and stay in NYC, at which point I hope to meet someone and stay with them, and if not, catch a train to Connecticut to meet Robert, so that we can drive up to Canada to do a guitar competition. If all of this works out, I will get back to Columbus, GA 5 days before school starts...at which time I will have to find a ride back to Montgomery (probably parents) to get my stuff to come back to school to start the school year.
That's right, this summer is a little extreme for my tastes, but it's too late to turn back now, and I think it will all turn out for the best...
