Cloud 9 City

Last night I had two distinct dreams. Two disctinctly nerdy dreams.

Dream One: Star Wars
This dream was Star Wars based. I don't remember the exact procession of events, just the general details. It started out with a sequence of views of Darth Vader actually being really bad ass, as we have never truly seen him before on screen. He kicked a lot of ass, used some of his signature force-choking, etc, and was acted well. I don't remember anything he actually said, which is sad because his dialogue was much better than his now-infamous NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!1one1.
The second part was a little cooler, because I and a few other people were jedi battling our way through this giant landed-spaceship, similar to a Star Destroyer, though I doubt those are actually ever meant to land. Outside the sun was setting, and the sky was yellow and blood-red. It was time to kick some dark-side butt. As we progressed, I had the chance to use various force powers, and though some may tell you that you can't really feel anything while you're dreaming, the simulated feeling  of the force actually flowing through me was pretty cool. Lightsaber battles abounded, and we finally got to the end, the top of this metal stair case. In the far distance was a powerful dark enemy. My comrades could tell he was too powerful to take on. I wanted to try anyway. From his distant standing, he sent a barrage of some strange energy clusters, which I attempted to hold back somehow. It was quite a strain, and I understood that I had to withdraw. The dream ended shortly after, with our retreat outside the battleship.

Dream Two: Anime Mania
This dream was mostly anime-based, in that it included two figures from different anime series, Vash from Trigun and Spike from Cowboy Bebop; They being the top two fanboy-producing characters of all time, it seems. Basically, the dream goes that for some reason, the two are living within the same continuity, same time same universe and all that, and for some other reason they actually know each other. In the dream, they're both younger, and don't look exactly the same as they do in their respective series. Vash looks more like he does whenever he's hiding out, with his har more flat down rather than sticking up and in casual clothes, and Spike with shorter hair (and for some reason I saw a photo of him somewhere in which he had the same short hair but also a beard. Weird.)
So it's nighttime, in some city. Spike is up on the roof tops, going from one to the other. He's looking for Vash. He gets down to the street, finding him driving some car. They talk for a bit about something, some problem, I'm not sure what's being said. They ditch the car and walk from there, or rather we do as by this point I have taken a first person view rather than a third person view. Suddenly Vash gets a crazy yet also blank look in his face. He wigs out, and ends up running off somewhere. I try to follow him, but get pulled into an alley way. A bunch of thugs start beating on me, and I look down and there's a freakin' needle (hypodermic) sticking out of me. I'm not sure what it is exactly, it's just something known to happen and have weird side effects. I black out there, and the dream is over.

Two very weird dreams, one more geeky than the last. I don't even know where I came up with this stuff. I've got problems. :o

Beyond that, not much is going on. I'm working on a new MediaSponge. I got to hang out with a bunch of my friends on Saturday night, which was fun. The only problem, as I've found out afterward, is that most of my friends are not going to even be around and available most of the summer. They're either all working too much or just plain not around. This stinks majorly. I don't get to see these people all year because of college, and now I can't do it because of work.

Speaking of work, I've got a job interview today at EB games. If I get the job, I'll get hours to work and thus money for working, which is good, and since they were recently bought by Gamestop, that will make it technically the second time I will have been on their payroll. Depending on how many hours they have available, I may need to quit my job at Suncoast, or I may work both jobs. If I get enough hours, I may not get a chance to worry about how much I get to spend time with my friends.
It wouldn't be so bad if I could actually meet a nice group of friends up at school who aren't a bunch of psychos. *coughJoncoughJasoncoughEtCeteracough*

Anyway, I get to see Batman Begins at the Imax theater tonight. That should be fun! I just wish my friends would be around soon so we could all see it locally, as a group. If Sunday weren't Father's Day, that would be a great day for us all to hang out. >_>

Ah well. Shit happens.
