World War II - The Sequel

Are we now in World War III?

I'm being totally serious.

It's hard to tell, but instead of slowing down this seems to be getting worse. We're sending more troops into Afghanistan to put down terrorists. There's no way of telling the terrorists apart from the civilians. So it tends to be that more civilians die than terrorists. And what if a civilian is simply trying to defend himself from the invading AMERICAN TERRORISTS?--Does that civilian automatically become a terrorist himself?

When we kill innocent civilians and children and women, that creates hatred, planting seeds for more terrorists. So what if I leave now and do nothing to rebuild the cities? Just imagine what the kids are going to turn out like when they're old enough to strap bombs to their chest and they have nothing to live for. Do you know what's going to happen?--More Americans are going to die and it's going to be OUR FAULT for not seeing the writing on the wall all of these years.

And do you know what will happen then?--We'll start a new war. Because our politicians, news outlets, and the general public seem to have no capability of looking at similar events and circumstances in history and juxtaposing them against current events and drawing a new conclusion based on what went right and what went wrong before.

Sounds like ouroboros is having a laugh at our expense again.

This video is what inspired me to think about this and write about it:
