pumping insulin

Jul 31, 2006 14:29

yeah, I know I never update.

life has gotten vastly easier now that I have a new insulin to take, reducing the amount of shots I need per day to 4, but I'm still egarly awaiting an insulin pump, which will only require I change the tube once every 3 days. I first have to contact this educator lady who will show me how to operate it(even though I've already read the manual online, twice) and then the pump company will argue with my insurance company until they give me a pump for free (which is good cause thye can cost upwards of $5000). since that could take awhile, my endocrinologist is going to give me a loaner pump after I meet with the educator that I can use until the real one arrives. I'll have that pump hopefully before school starts.

joy

I'm getting an IR1250
