Seriously considering buying a "new" PC at the moment. My old clunker has been with me for what, 6+ years now so yeah, probably time for an update. Problem is I've been out of the game for so long that I have very little clue what a good price is for anything. Checking out a few auctions cos I still don't need the latest and greatest and yeah, they have some nice little 1.7-2.4GHz Dell Optiplex Gx260s going for between $150 and $250 (AUS $) depending on RAM and video cards. I'm not looking for the most high powered stuff, and compared to my (checks) Duron 800 with 384MB of RAM I'd say it's a fair step up for very little investment. (I did mention recently that I'm an abject failure as a geek right?)

Then again, the old fella is still chugging along and if all I'm using it for is the internet and playing music... Maybe I'll think on it for another week or two.
