And here's an interesting stat for you. As bad as our defense may be, Minnesota's quarterback only threw for 5 more yards against us than he did against Ohio State. (237 vs 232) The biggest difference is 34 yards given up to Minnesota's leading rusher by OSU vs 81 yards given up by us. But really, we aren't terrible against the run. Its the pass that kills us most games. So I find these stats mildly encouraging.

Offense-wise. Kory Sheets ran for 111 yards vs Ohio State's back's 116. And Painter threw for 338 yards vs 209 for Ohio State. Now I'm not saying we're gonna win... but at least all signs point to us perhaps keeping it close
