Blech.
I just got my power back after being deprived for about 20 minutes.. I guess it was the wind. It was a little insane earlier, but now everythings just overcast and stagnant. It actually looks a little brighter than before. The weather in New England has serious Bipolar disorder.
I rode Tucker today and it sucked. Well, he wasn't that bad, but I sucked. I felt like a sack of shit for some reason. It was probably all my fault that the ride was bad. Yeah. Actually, Tucker had his mind on other things too because all four horses in the turnouts were flipping out and so he deemed it necessary to join them. Everytime he gets excited, I laugh because he goes way overboard with the whole.. tail in the air, snorting, buisness. He's not fooling anybody, but it's still cute how he prances around with his tail flagged. I wrapped his legs today becasue I think it looks better than splint boots. This is completely useless information, but I love polo wraps. I used light blue which when combined with the pink saddle pad, made the poor horse look like a giant stick of cotton candy. Next time I'll use a more masculine color, which I think he'll appreciate.
I came home and sat for a while, watched some TV and ate lunch. Then I read a little more in Stone Garden which was okay I guess. Oh yeah, I did laundry.. I have a fuckload to do for some reason. But laudry is theraputic for me. I sleep better when it's all clean. I just did a white wash with Max's polos and other articles of clothing. Socks and the like.
When my mom took me to ride Max around 3:30, the weather cleared up a little but thats when the wind started getting maddd crazy. I had a good ride on him though. He was speedy today but moving fine. Lots of stretching and circles.. which he loves and is quite a star at. His nose practically drags on the ground. His canters to the right are brilliant, trot work is fine in both directions.. but I think cantering to the left hurts. It still takes a few tries for him to get the lead right, and not without a rough sort of labored transistion. Once he steps onto that left leg and gets himself into it, he's okay. It takes a few strides for him to be in the bridle, but if he pushes he can do it. I should have the vet or someone come and watch to see if it looks bad. But I'll probably never get around to it. I still need a dressage girth for him, because I've been using my huntseat girth with a dressage saddle, which doesn't work so well. Sucks that I'm completely out of money. Arrrg. New polos would be nice too. The ones that I just took out of the washing machine are all threadbare and covered in woolies. I want gray ones. That way Tucker can have navy, and Max and have gray, and they won't get confused.
I'm getting dinner at Wholefoods tonight. Not to sound crude, but their food kind of sucks. Besides.. I got dinner there last night. I had this like, weird pasta-ish thing that gave me a stomach ache. They have Nantucket Nectars though. Orange Pineapple Guava is the best flavor ever.
