gas prices are just ridiculous. highest price for regular gas in boulder is @ $3.00. im sure its higher in other places in the country but that insanely expensive, especially when you drive a vehicle (me) that has horrible gas mileage. it costs me almost up to $60 per empty tank and i only get about 4 hours of highway driving per tank (basicaly, like about 13 mpg). thats like... awful. ive pretty much decided to stop driving my suv unless its absolutely necessary to drive, such as having to get food or going to the ER. other than that, i will be on foot, bike, or bus. no more driving. in fact, last weekend, a couple buddies and i bailed out of driving to aspen to camp and go climbing, all just because of gas prices alone. gas is just not affordable or worth it for me.
