nethack - ascension run - finished plane of earth
Finished the plane of earth.
Things I learned: Next time, try to make sure to have blessed wands of digging and a blessed pickaxe.
Without blessed pickaxe, was able to finish the level, but was a slog. Each time the pickaxe dug one square of progress, a monster would be generated. Was successful, but took a long time.
Because it took so long, also had a few swarms of nasties get generated around the Adventurer, including one instance of two mind flayers. Even with the ring of conflict on, they killed the Adventurer a handful of times. Had I not been playing in explore mode, that would have "been it" for this ascension run attempt.
