debian - when I started using it - March2005
I keep all my CDROMs of debian stable netinst disks in a packet.
For some reason, felt like looking through the contents of the packet. Felt nostalgic, I guess.
I hadn't noticed the slip of paper still in the packet, along with the disks. Decided to retrieve it and open it up.
It was the receipt of the 1st time I had ever switched to Debian! (I used gimp to remove my PHI and financial info.)
So, for the record, according to the date in the receipt: March2005. That's when I started using Debian. When I didn't know about LUGs (Linux User Groups), before I had a CDROM burner, or anything: I purchased the distribution from LinuxCentral.
