When the IFC (Independent Film Channel) would give the Viewer a show's rating, they would have this plucky violin composition phrase/jingle, about ten to fifteen seconds in length. It just sounded like quintessential 1950s.
Recently discovered who was the composer of that music: Heinz Kiessling.
The specific composition is, I believe, "Wiggin' Out"
