"One Hundred Years Of Solitude" -- Marquez

Finished reading "One Hundred Years Of Solitude" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez

Was a birthday gift from my Mom, in 2012. Had been reading it for a year, little-by-little

Liked it. Had no idea what the book was about, or it's lesson or overall plot right up to near the final pages.

Now that I finished it, think I 'get it': The book is a analogy for life itself for all of us, over many generations. Ups and Downs, prosperity and despair, fairness and evil deeds, interpretations of events by many people, each with a different 'take away', all mixed, and over time.

2013, book, books
