how you know that you've been in ann arbor a long long time....
Yesterday morning I was watching tv with my mom and trying to finish paper 1 of 2 for the weekend. My mom was flipping through all the Saturday morning shit tv and stopped on something with puppets singing. All these little puppets (of different races) were singing about how they had two mothers who loved them. My initial reaction was "oh how nice they're teaching kids about different family situations" until they got to the chorus. Mother number two was the Virgin Mary not a butch lesbian. And that, folks, is how I figured out that I'm out of touch with mainstream America.
