I love that first picture too ... and I think it might be my Chris/Jal obsessed brain but the first thing I noticed was - Chris and Jal standing next to each other! Hell yeah! Twoo wuv!
Well, maybe not ... but even in that Season 1 promotional pic they're lain next to each other. The writers plotted it all ... right from the beginning. I'd love them if not for what they did to Chris.
"This scene is hilarious...What are you trying to do,Sid? Trying to have your answers via mental connection??? You're not this naive,aren't you??? "
* COUGHYESCOUGH*
I was really conflicted about Chris's Dad because Mark Heap is hilarious - have you ever seen Green Wing? - and I'll admit that his facebook comment did get a wee giggle out of me. But yes, he is a wanker. An awful, neglectful, unloving, only-caring-about-what-his-relatives-think wanker. I agree though, he redeemed himself a little in his scene with Jal.
That scene and the in the duvet covers scene were fantastic - oh and the scene in the aquarium! - but the funeral scene gave me shivers.
"Fireworks: This is the way Chris Miles would have had his funeral....Blast and boombardearing..."
So true, plus, boombadearing is a bloody brilliant word. I love it. * Adopts as part of vocabulary instantly. *
And I never liked Tony/Michelle much - but I loved their last scene. It's very sad in the growing-up-and-parting-of-ways way, but so sweet.
Okay this is creepy, as I type this ... the Radiohead ( I think? ) song from the Season 2 promo for Skins has just come on.
Have I mentioned how much I love you? I loved your comment,you didn't ramble at all...I agree with everything you said.
Regarding "bombardiering" (I spelt it wrong in the post) unfortunately I didn't make it up. It's from Wyndham Lewis, an Enlish poet from the beginning of 20th century. He thought modernity ought to be "blast and bombardiering"...I liked the word and I thought it suited Chris.
Anyway - brilliant picspam.
AW I'm flattered that you think so, I still think it could be way better...
Someone who loves my rambles? I think I'll have to keep you around ... :D
Regardless of whether or not you made up that word it's awesome - if tricky to spell - and you introduced it to me so you shall get the credit. And yes Chris would love it.
